The intention of my E-Card design is to bring awareness to the cost effectiveness of switching to a modern LED light bulb. It is said that an incandescent light bulb will last up to 1,000 hours, while an L.E.D. has a minimum of 10,000.
For my E-Card I used a total of 4 images. The two light bulbs, the grass, and the light bulb/recycle logo. It took me quite a while to get where I have finished up. After my initial concept deign was established I started to web search for images. With the two light bulbs, I opened them up in Photoshop and with a combination of the magic wand tool and quick selection I deleted their white backgrounds. I also did the same for the grass, but played around with the opacity and then using the paint brush tool to soften and darken the hue of the grass. I also painted the sky with the paint brush tool.
Excellent. Right to the point. I am quibbling(that's my job) but it looks a little washed out compared to the pieces you started with. Starting with a bigger background with richer colors would help. When you reduce an image down and it looks worse than it did when it was larger check to makes sure the file is in RGB not indexed or lab color. Jon
ReplyDeleteI like the boldness of the text at the top, but not too sure on fading out the green grass on the bottom. I think if you got rid of the white fade on the bottom for the grass it would help the text at the bottom "pop" and grab more attention. Good job!
